Strawberry Jam

Ingredients :

  • 2 oz. homemade strawberry jam*
  • 3 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 
  • 3 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 oz. Citrus Gin Artist in Residence
  • 2 oz Onoranza Aperitivo Lemon
  • 1/2 bottle of Versant Blanc

* Homemade strawberry jam: Cut the strawberries (500g) into strips and place in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 and a half cups of sugar. Mash the mixture with a masher until the sugar mixes completely with the strawberries. Bring to a boil and add 2 tablespoons of lime juice and the zest of 2 limes. Boil for 15 minutes, stirring frequently and lowering the temperature if necessary. Let cool and place in the refrigerator. Can be kept for 1 week. Delicious for breakfast too!

Cutting strawberry strips
Cutting file washers
Squeeze lime juice
Prepare simple syrup

Instructions :

Add all the ingredients in a pitcher. Add ice to the pitcher. Stir and mix all ingredients well.

Serve over ice and garnish with a slice of lime buttered with jam, a strawberry and a basil leaf.
